Polityka prywatności aplikacji Bitzu

Wersja 1.1Obowiązuje od 16.09.2026 · ostatnia aktualizacja 28.10.2026

Ta polityka opisuje, jakie dane zbiera aplikacja mobilna Bitzu (dalej: Aplikacja), w jakim celu, na jakiej podstawie prawnej i komu je przekazujemy.

1. Administrator danych

Administratorem Twoich danych osobowych w rozumieniu RODO (rozporządzenie UE 2016/679) jest:

  • Dominik Sienicki
  • Adres: ul. Stanisława Moniuszki 27, 18-300 Zambrów, Polska
  • NIP: 7231646326
  • Kontakt w sprawach danych osobowych: contact@bitzuapp.com

Nie powołaliśmy inspektora ochrony danych. Wszystkie sprawy związane z danymi osobowymi załatwiamy pod powyższym adresem e-mail.

2. Jakie dane zbieramy

2.1. Dane konta

  • przy logowaniu Apple: token odświeżania Sign in with Apple, używany wyłącznie do unieważnienia dostępu Aplikacji do Twojego Apple ID przy usuwaniu konta,
  • datę założenia konta i datę ostatniego logowania.

2.2. Dane o nauce i grywalizacji

  • punkty XP, poziom, passa (streak), energia, waluta w aplikacji (Bity), przedmioty i skrzynki,
  • osiągnięcia, miejsce w tabelach wyników i ligach, wyzwania i ich rezultaty,
  • wybrany cel nauki, poziom umiejętności i preferencje ustawione podczas wprowadzenia (onboardingu).

2.3. Dane społecznościowe

  • lista znajomych, zaproszenia, zablokowani użytkownicy,
  • członkostwo w drużynach (squads) i wspólne passy grupowe,
  • aktywność w kanale społecznościowym: wpisy o Twoich postępach, komentarze i reakcje,

2.4. Numer telefonu i kontakty

2.5. Powiadomienia push

Jeśli wyrazisz zgodę na powiadomienia, zapisujemy token urządzenia z Firebase Cloud Messaging, platformę (Android/iOS), wersję Aplikacji, język urządzenia oraz Twoje ustawienia powiadomień. Zgodę możesz cofnąć w ustawieniach Aplikacji lub systemu.

2.6. Dane techniczne i logi

2.7. Subskrypcje i płatności

Płatności obsługuje wyłącznie sklep, z którego pobrano Aplikację: Google Play lub App Store. Nie otrzymujemy i nie przechowujemy danych karty płatniczej. Do zarządzania subskrypcjami używamy RevenueCat. Zapisujemy:

2.8. Analityka i raporty awarii

Używamy Firebase Analytics i Firebase Crashlytics (Google).

Pomiar naszych kampanii reklamowych. Jeśli ją wyrazisz, Firebase Analytics udostępnia Google Ads informację o instalacji Aplikacji i ukończeniu pierwszej lekcji wraz z identyfikatorem instancji Firebase Analytics, a Google łączy je z Twoją wcześniejszą interakcją z naszą reklamą.

  • Formularz zgody: w Europejskim Obszarze Gospodarczym, Wielkiej Brytanii i Szwajcarii przed pierwszą reklamą wyświetlamy formularz zgody Google (User Messaging Platform, zgodny ze standardem IAB TCF).

Do wysyłki używamy usługi Brevo.

Zautomatyzowane decyzje i profilowanie.

  • Twoje XP, passa i osiągnięcia w tabelach wyników i u znajomych,

Jeśli link trafi w niepowołane ręce, unieważnij go w Aplikacji na ekranie Dodaj znajomych („Unieważnij obecny link”): stary link i kod przestaną działać, a dostaniesz nowe.

5. Odbiorcy danych

Nie sprzedajemy danych osobowych. Przekazujemy je wyłącznie podmiotom niezbędnym do działania Aplikacji:

Dane mogą zostać udostępnione uprawnionym organom, jeśli wynika to z przepisów prawa.

6. Przekazywanie danych poza EOG

  • Raporty awarii w Firebase Crashlytics (wraz z identyfikatorami instalacji): 90 dni.

8. Usunięcie konta i danych

  • logi serwera z adresem IP: do 30 dni,
  • kopie zapasowe bazy danych: do 30 dni,
  • zgłoszenia innych użytkowników dotyczące Twoich treści lub profilu (bez samych usuniętych treści): 12 miesięcy od rozpatrzenia,
  • dane w Firebase Analytics: dane o zdarzeniach do 2 miesięcy, dane na poziomie użytkownika do 14 miesięcy (punkt 7),
  • raporty awarii w Firebase Crashlytics: do 90 dni,

9. Twoje prawa

Zgodnie z RODO masz prawo do:

  • dostępu do swoich danych i otrzymania ich kopii (art. 15),
  • sprostowania danych (art. 16),
  • usunięcia danych (art. 17),
  • ograniczenia przetwarzania (art. 18),
  • przenoszenia danych w formacie nadającym się do odczytu maszynowego (art. 20),
  • sprzeciwu wobec przetwarzania opartego na uzasadnionym interesie (art. 21),
  • wycofania zgody w dowolnym momencie (art. 7 ust. 3).

Żądania kieruj na contact@bitzuapp.com. Odpowiadamy w ciągu 30 dni. Przysługuje Ci także skarga do Prezesa Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych (ul. Stanisława Moniuszki 1A, 00-014 Warszawa, uodo.gov.pl) albo do organu nadzorczego w państwie Twojego zwykłego pobytu.

10. Dzieci

  • stosujemy limity zapytań i mechanizmy przeciwdziałania nadużyciom.

Legal

Bitzu Privacy Policy

Version 1.1Effective 16 September 2026 · last updated 28 October 2026

This policy explains what data the Bitzu mobile app (the App) collects, why, on what legal basis, and who we share it with. It describes what the App actually does rather than a generic template.

1. Data controller

The controller of your personal data under the GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679) is:

  • Dominik Sienicki
  • Address: ul. Stanisława Moniuszki 27, 18-300 Zambrów, Poland
  • Tax ID (NIP): 7231646326
  • Privacy contact: contact@bitzuapp.com

We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer. All privacy matters are handled at the email address above.

2. What data we collect

2.1. Account data

You create an account by signing in with Google or Apple. We do not use passwords of our own and never see yours. From the sign-in provider we receive and store:

  • your email address (with Sign in with Apple this may be a relay address at privaterelay.appleid.com if you choose to hide your email),
  • your user identifier at the sign-in provider,
  • with Sign in with Apple: a Sign in with Apple refresh token, used only to revoke the App's access to your Apple ID when you delete your account,
  • account creation date and last sign-in date.

Your profile also stores: display name, username, friend code, optional bio, avatar URL, time zone, and your interface and content language settings.

We do not collect or store your first or last name from your Google or Apple account. You choose your display name yourself; the App suggests a random one (for example Coder4821), never one built from your email address.

2.2. Learning and gamification data

  • completed lessons, exercise answers and whether they were correct, progress through courses and paths,
  • XP, level, streak, energy, in-app currency (Bits), items and crates,
  • achievements, leaderboard and league placement, challenges and their results,
  • the learning goal, skill level and preferences you set during onboarding.

2.3. Social data

  • friends list, invitations, blocked users,
  • squad membership and shared group streaks,
  • social feed activity: posts about your progress, comments and reactions,
  • reports you submit (the reason and your optional note), including reports of errors in questions.

2.4. Phone number and contacts

We do not collect phone numbers and we do not ask for access to your contacts. The App never reads your device address book and does not find friends by phone number or email address. You add friends with an invite link, a friend code, a QR code, or by searching for a username.

2.5. Push notifications

If you consent to notifications, we store your Firebase Cloud Messaging device token, platform (Android/iOS), app version, device language and your notification preferences. You can withdraw consent in the App or in your device settings.

2.6. Technical data and logs

  • IP address and basic request metadata (timestamp, endpoint, response code) in our server logs,
  • a server-side session identifier and an access token (JWT) held in the secure system storage on your device,
  • device and installation identifiers: the advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, AAID on Android, see 2.9), developer- or app-scoped identifiers used by AdMob (the identifier for vendor, IDFV, on iOS and the App Set ID on Android), the Firebase installation ID (FID), the Firebase Analytics app instance ID (only with consent, see 2.8), the Crashlytics installation ID, the FCM push token (see 2.5) and your RevenueCat customer ID (see 2.7). The App's own code does not read your device's IMEI, serial number or Android ID,
  • cached data stored locally on your device (progress, lesson content), removed when you uninstall the App.

2.7. Subscriptions and payments

Payments are handled exclusively by the store you installed the App from: Google Play or the App Store. We never receive or store payment card details. We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and store:

  • subscription status (active or not), plan, start and expiry dates, trial information,
  • your RevenueCat user identifier and the store events forwarded to us (purchase, renewal, cancellation, refund).

The RevenueCat SDK in the App also sends RevenueCat your IP address, device model and OS version, app version, store country and currency, and the store's purchase receipts.

If you consent to usage statistics (section 2.8), the App gives RevenueCat your Firebase Analytics app instance ID, and RevenueCat sends subscription events (purchase, trial start, renewal, cancellation) to our Firebase Analytics property. When you withdraw consent, the App removes this identifier from RevenueCat and the events stop.

2.8. Analytics and crash reports

We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (Google). These collect, among others: app usage events (lesson completed, answer submitted, paywall viewed, notification opened), screens viewed, device model and OS version, app version, approximate country-level location derived from your IP address and, on a crash, the stack trace and app state at the time of the error. We do not join this data with the content of your exercise answers.

Usage statistics (Firebase Analytics) are collected only with your consent. Until you answer, collection is switched off. We ask once, after your first sign-in; saying no is as easy as saying yes and does not limit any feature. You can change your decision at any time in the App: Settings → Privacy → Usage statistics. Crash reports (Crashlytics) do not depend on this consent, because they are needed to keep the App working (see section 3).

Measuring our ad campaigns. Bitzu advertises on Google Ads. To learn which of our ads brought in new users, we ask for separate consent to ad campaign measurement. The checkbox is unticked by default, and this consent only works together with consent to usage statistics. If you give it, Firebase Analytics shares with Google Ads the fact that the App was installed and that you completed your first lesson, together with your Firebase Analytics app instance ID, and Google matches this with your earlier interaction with our ad. We do not use this data for personalised ads or remarketing: the ad personalisation consent signal (ad_personalization) is always off. Subscription events from RevenueCat are not shared with Google Ads. You can change your choice in the App: Settings → Privacy → Ad campaign measurement. Without this consent we share nothing about you with Google Ads. Separately, Google, as operator of the Google Play store, may itself count installs after an ad click under its own privacy policy.

2.9. Advertising

The free tier shows Google AdMob ads: a full-screen ad after every completed lesson, and an optional rewarded ad you can watch in exchange for extra energy. Users with an active subscription see no ads. What data Google uses depends on your choices:

  • Consent form: in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland we show Google's consent form (User Messaging Platform, IAB TCF compliant) before the first ad. You can change your choice in the App: Settings → Privacy → Ad privacy.
  • Consent to storing information on your device and to personalised ads: Google may use your advertising identifier, device storage, IP address, device information and ad interaction data, including to profile you for ads.
  • Consent to storing information on your device without consent to personalisation: non-personalised ads, chosen by context and approximate location, without an advertising profile.
  • No consent to storing information on your device: Google serves only limited ads, which do not use device identifiers or device storage for advertising.
  • iOS: the advertising identifier (IDFA) is available to AdMob only if you allow tracking in the system App Tracking Transparency prompt, which we show after the consent form. You can change this in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
  • Android: you can reset or delete the advertising identifier (AAID) in the system settings, in the Google ads section.

2.10. Newsletter

We send our newsletter (news about Bitzu courses, features and offers) only to people who have signed up for it. Signing up requires separate, voluntary consent: the checkbox is unticked by default, it is not tied to accepting the Terms of Service or this Privacy Policy, and not signing up does not limit your use of the App in any way.

If you sign up, we process: your email address, language, the date and method of your consent, and delivery statistics (whether a message was delivered and opened and whether a link was clicked). We send the newsletter through Brevo.

Opens are measured with an invisible pixel in the message and clicks through redirecting links. We tell you this when you sign up, and your newsletter consent covers this measurement. If you do not want opens measured, turn off automatic image loading in your email app. Deleting your account also unsubscribes you from the newsletter.

How to unsubscribe: click the "Unsubscribe" link in the footer of any message, or write to contact@bitzuapp.com. Unsubscribing takes effect immediately, does not affect your account and needs no reason.

Separately from the GDPR legal basis, storing information on your device or accessing it for advertising and usage statistics requires your consent under the Polish Electronic Communications Law (implementing the EU ePrivacy Directive). That is why Firebase Analytics stays off and AdMob does not use device identifiers or storage without consent.

You can withdraw consent at any time in the App settings, in your device settings (notifications, tracking), or by writing to our email address. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.

Do you have to provide data? Providing data is voluntary, but without the email address and identifier from Google or Apple sign-in you cannot create an account, and without learning data the App cannot work. Consent to notifications, usage statistics, ad campaign measurement, personalised ads and the newsletter is entirely optional; refusing does not limit your learning.

Automated decisions and profiling. We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that produce legal effects or similarly significantly affect you (Art. 22 GDPR). The App automatically schedules reviews, places you in leagues based on your results and rejects offensive usernames, but none of this has such effects. Profiling for personalised ads is carried out by Google, only with your consent (section 2.9).

4. What other users can see

Some data is visible to other people using the App by design:

  • your display name, username and avatar in search results, league tables and friends lists,
  • your XP, streak and achievements in leaderboards and to your friends,
  • your activity (for example completing a lesson or earning an achievement) in your friends' social feed,
  • your friend code and invite link, if you share them with someone.

Invite link. The link contains only your friend code. The page the link opens (invite.bitzuapp.com) fetches your display name from our server and shows it to anyone who has an active link. It does not show your avatar or any other data and is not indexed by search engines. Once you revoke the link, the page says the link is inactive. Anyone who opens the link in the App becomes your friend straight away and can see your display name, username, avatar and your activity in the friends feed. So share the link only with people you know. If it reaches the wrong people, revoke it in the App on the Add friends screen ("Revoke current link"): the old link and code stop working and you get new ones.

You can remove or block a friend at any time. Your email address is never shown to other users.

5. Recipients

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with the parties needed to run the App:

We may disclose data to competent authorities where required by law.

6. Transfers outside the EEA

Google, Apple, RevenueCat and Cloudflare are US-based and may process data outside the European Economic Area. Transfers rely on the European Commission adequacy decision (EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework) or on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission. We will provide a copy of the safeguards on request.

Our application server and database are located in Germany, on netcup GmbH servers, and our newsletter provider (Brevo) is based in France, so both are within the European Union.

7. Retention

  • Account, learning and social data: for as long as your account exists.
  • After account deletion: erased immediately (within 30 days at the latest for requests by email), with the exceptions listed in section 8. Backups expire within 30 days.
  • Server logs, including IP addresses: 30 days.
  • Abuse reports and moderation decisions: 12 months after the report is resolved, so we can handle appeals and repeat offences. Reports you submitted yourself are deleted with your account.
  • Subscription data: for as long as your account exists. Sales records are kept by Apple and Google, as they are the seller of the subscription.
  • Firebase Analytics data: detailed event data 2 months, user-level data (identifiers and the information linked to them) 14 months. Aggregated statistics that cannot identify you may be kept longer.
  • Crash reports in Firebase Crashlytics (including installation identifiers): 90 days.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only your email address and the dates consent was given and withdrawn, so we can show the mailing was lawful and never email you again by mistake, for no longer than 3 years.

8. Deleting your account and data

You can delete your account at any time, in either of two ways. The same instructions are at bitzuapp.com/delete-account.

  • in the App: Profile → Settings → Delete account. Once you confirm, the account and its data are deleted immediately,
  • by email, for example if the App is no longer installed: write to support@bitzuapp.com with "Account deletion" in the subject and give your username or friend code. We send a confirmation code to the email address stored with your account (if you used Sign in with Apple with a hidden address: to your Apple relay address, which forwards to your inbox). Once you send the code back, we delete the account within 30 days of your request at the latest and confirm it by reply. If you no longer have access to that mailbox, install the App, sign in with the same Google or Apple account and delete your account in Settings.

What we delete: your profile and username, learning progress, XP, streak, achievements, Bits and items, friends and invitations, squad membership, posts, comments and reactions, reports you submitted, push tokens, the subscription data we hold, and the link to your Google or Apple account. We also unsubscribe you from the newsletter. We delete your customer profile in RevenueCat. If you signed in with Apple, we also revoke the App's access to your Apple ID.

What remains, and for how long:

  • server logs with your IP address: up to 30 days,
  • database backups: up to 30 days,
  • reports by other users about your content or profile (without the deleted content itself): 12 months after they are resolved,
  • Firebase Analytics data: event data up to 2 months, user-level data up to 14 months (section 7),
  • crash reports in Firebase Crashlytics: up to 90 days,
  • your App Store or Google Play purchase history: kept by the store, as the seller, under its own rules,
  • if you signed up for the newsletter: your email address and the dates consent was given and withdrawn (section 7).

An active subscription is not cancelled automatically: you must cancel it in Google Play or App Store settings, because only the store manages it. Anonymised statistics that cannot identify you may be retained.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access your data and receive a copy (Art. 15),
  • rectification (Art. 16),
  • erasure (Art. 17),
  • restriction of processing (Art. 18),
  • data portability in a machine-readable format (Art. 20),
  • object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21),
  • withdraw consent at any time (Art. 7(3)).

Send requests to contact@bitzuapp.com. We respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with the Polish supervisory authority, Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych (ul. Stanisława Moniuszki 1A, 00-014 Warsaw, uodo.gov.pl), or with the authority in your country of residence.

10. Children

The App is intended for people aged 16 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If we learn that an account was created by someone under 16, we will delete the account and the associated data. Parents and guardians can report such cases to contact@bitzuapp.com.

11. Security

  • all traffic between the App and our server uses HTTPS/TLS,
  • the access token is kept in secure system storage on your device (Keychain on iOS, Keystore on Android),
  • we store no passwords: sign-in is handled by Google and Apple,
  • database access is limited to the people operating the App,
  • we apply rate limiting and abuse-prevention measures.

No system is fully secure. We will report a personal data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms to the supervisory authority within 72 hours of becoming aware of it (Art. 33 GDPR). If the breach is likely to result in a high risk, we will also notify you without undue delay (Art. 34 GDPR).

12. Changes to this policy

If we change how we process data, we will update this policy and the date at the top of the page. We will announce material changes in the App or by email before they take effect. Previous versions are available on request.

13. Contact

For privacy matters write to contact@bitzuapp.com or to the postal address in section 1.
